Arkie Cup past tournaments....

2011 Tournament had 74 teams for a 2 day tournament out of Dam Site Park Ramps with weigh in at Sandy Beach Park in Heber Springs. The tournament is held to benefit the Arkansas Children’s Hospital and this year the event raised over $5000. The winner of the 2011 event was the father and son team of Brock and Robert Bertrand with a 2 day weight of 25.77 lbs. Their weight also included the big bass of the event at 5.43 lbs. The team said they caught all their fish on jigs in the same area both days. They also won the Sunday best weight of the day at 12.6 lbs which meant they won a total of $4,740 for the 2 days of fishing. 2nd place overall winner was the team of Tim Dycus and Leland Nixon with a weight of 24.76 lbs. This won them $1,425.00 Saturday’s winner of best weight went to the team of Randy Berry and Lonnie Turner with a weight of 13.53 lbs which won them $1000. This team also came in 3rd place overall which won them a additional $1150.00 with a weight of 24.04 lbs. Balance of the top 12 was: 4. Jeff Butler/Jarrod Fraizer 21.31 lbs $1025.00 5.
